JOCO Network Connection Staffing (NCS) is the DBA of Project Connect Enterprises LLC. We are a staffing company that places youth and young adults within professional business setting opportunities.



misSION

To empower and work with youth-aged individuals in attaining practical and valuable professional business and community work experiences, learning effective work skills, professional development, personal growth, communication skills, financial literacy, and leadership training to improve the social and economic welfare of the community as a whole.



VISION

Identify local community work projects and community service initiatives for the betterment of Johnston County, NC. Broker collaborative relationships with community stakeholders and businesses to develop civic engagement opportunities for Johnston County residents. Empower individuals to serve and invest in their local communities.



Program Goal

The goal and purpose of the JOCO NCS Youth Summer Work-Based Learning Training Program is to provide work readiness skills, professional career exposure, and financial literacy training to youth-aged individuals with the intent of opening up a savings account. 


Strategy

Building relationships with community stakeholders, local organizations, government agencies, business owners, and faith-based institutions that are invested in the lives of the next generation and committed to the revitalization of our community. 


Success

Our success will depend on the collaborative efforts of these constituents as well as community stakeholders, leaders, clergy, and public officials who share the goals of reducing unemployment and preparing individuals and families to achieve a positive and productive future for community enrichment and investment.


Need

Securing funding through soliciting business support, public and private donations, grants, sponsorships, local and state aid, and holding fundraising events within the local community.

KECIA LOPES

Title here

Kecia Lopes has spent her life in service to both her community and faith. She has served in various leadership roles in the community and churches. After 13 years in the banking industry, she changed her career path in 2006 and has devoted herself to the helping profession ever since.

Currently, Kecia holds a master’s degree in social work from Simmons College, School of Social Work, and a 2nd master’s degree in public administration from the University of Southern California. She is a licensed minister and social worker. She has not only provided leadership in several community organizations but also served in local community churches.


Kecia has worked in the Department of Youth Services, where she helped to train youth to become prepared to enter the workforce. She also served as a volunteer in the Teen Challenge Prison Ministry for both men and women. She journeyed on a mission trip to Rwanda where she assisted in coordinating the digging of water wells in areas previously without clean water sources.


Kecia has an excellent ability to teach and explain complex ideas and principles in a manner easily understandable by others. She displays a strength of character, dedication to her community, generosity in giving, loving guidance, patience in listening, and an exceptional depth of faith in God. Currently, Kecia is attending seminary to be better prepared to assume the important task and role of a pastor.


Kecia’s dynamic attraction is attributed to her abundant level of patience with those who are in need of tools to be successful in society. She offers what she has learned willingly, patiently, and most importantly, professionally. Whether working with high-level executives, government or public officials, residents in homeless shelters, incarcerated men and women, youth and teens, school systems, or places of ministry, her high regard for the “individual” is unwavering. Kecia’s desire for individuals to function well in the confines of society and challenging environments is exemplary. She exhibits great humility and has been known to be a role model in the city in which she lives and a magnetic mentor regionally.
